Ahoy,

In this posting I choose to complain.  Complain about the service delivered by the Los Angeles Police Department. I was hired to DJ at a party on Saturday September 8 at a house in Venice. At 10:15pm, 2 officers showed up, entered the property without asking anyone. When I came up to them to help them - and mentioned they were entering private property and should step back off of it until they get permission to enter, they threatened to take me with them and screamed at me, telling me to step back. I was in no one’s way, simply talking a couple feet away from them.

I’ll pass on the rest, which is boring. I realize this interaction was not all that dramatic, but still, it really bothers me.These officers are hardly protecting or serving anyone, the music was not loud, not nearly as loud as a Harley Davidson for instance, which seem to roam freely at all times of day and night. Not nearly as loud as most trucks even. Can I call the cops and complain the next time a truck drives by my house?

Clearly LAPD has NOTHING better to do. More than ever, I despise these types of arrogant, threatening, simple-minded cops. I also question my safety when I am threatened while stating my own rights. It’s bad enough to see this stuff happening in Russia, but shit, this is Venice, city of LA.

Sigh.
