About me

A word about my musical side… Once upon a time I was a secluded bedroom rocker. I bought my first turntables in LA in 1996, brought them back to Paris, practiced and started a hip hop band, LPF (Laisse Paître les Fombous…. something like Let Fools Graze). Since then I’ve expanded my musical horizon quite a bit. I couldn’t really help it: growing up in Paris, I was constantly surrounded by my dad’s classical piano tunes, jazz pieces, Arabic music on the radio, house music in clubs, Fela Kuti at house parties, various sound systems, parties, festivals… This exposure was crucial in my DJ evolution.

After eight years of introverted build up, the public DJ came to life, and bookings started coming my way right as I left Paris for Los Angeles in 2004. Helped by LA cult party legend Jean-Louis, encouraged by KCRW star Jason Bentley, I have been forging my own following, one party at a time.

Two years of word of mouth later, I’m lucky enough to say I’m in high demand. Viceroy Summer Sessions, rooftop bar at the Standard Hotel, a weekly at the Knitting Factory, Saks Fifth Avenue fashion events, decadent Hollywood Hills parties, underground Venice club parties, and many, many memorable house party sets. My electronic weeklies and shows have been approved by LA’s underground, while my eclectic sets consistently bring the heat to the dance-floor at many private events. And it’s fair to say the Venice Juxtaphone parties at the Townhouse became the highlights of summer 06. The best of all worlds!
